JAKARTA – Prajogo Pangestu continues to aggressively accumulate shares in his affiliated companies amid ongoing volatility in Jakarta Composite Index (JCI).

He was again recorded increasing his ownership stakes in PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN) and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) in today’s trading, Thursday (29/1).

Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Prajogo snapped up 4 million CUAN shares and 4 million BRPT shares in several separate transactions worth a total of IDR 15.8 billion, with the following breakdown:

  1. Purchase of 4 million CUAN shares at an average price of IDR 1,804 per share, or a total of IDR 7.22 billion
  2. Purchase of 4 million BRPT shares at an average price of IDR 2,150 per share, or a total of IDR 8.6 billion

Amid the downward trend in Barito Group shares, as well as uncertainty surrounding the fate of Indonesian equities in the MSCI index rebalancing, the accumulation move appeared to be well received by the market.

CUAN and BRPT, despite briefly slumping to the auto-reject lower limit (ARB) in line with JCI’s second trading halt this morning, managed to rebound towards the close of trading.

BRPT still recorded a decline of 4.35% and closed at IDR 2,200. Meanwhile, CUAN surged as much as 18.59% to IDR 1,850.

As a note, Prajogo Pangestu had previously accumulated CUAN shares three times in January. In total, the tycoon has spent IDR 28.97 billion to accumulate CUAN shares since the beginning of 2026. (ZH)
