JAKARTA — Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) recorded foreign net selling once again after three consecutive weeks of trillion-rupiah net buying since the third week of February 2026.

During the 9–13 March 2026 period, foreign net sell reached IDR 1.6 trillion, reversing from net buy of IDR 2.2 trillion in the previous week (2–6/3).

This added to the weak market sentiment after Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) plunged 5.9% over the past week, hitting 8-months low and now standing at 7,137.21.

Large banking stocks were also part of the foreign selling pressure in the regular market.

These included PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) — which recently announced final dividends of IDR 41.3 trillion — as well as state-owned lender PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI).

Aside from banking stocks, foreign investors were also seen offloading shares linked to major Indonesian conglomerates, including companies associated with Aburizal Bakrie’s Bakrie Group and Prajogo Pangestu.

PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG), the oil and gas arm of the Bakrie Group, and PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) together recorded foreign net sell totalling IDR 775.7 billion over the past week.

Meanwhile, foreign investors also heavily sold PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) — controlled by Prajogo Pangestu — amounting to around 70 million shares, or approximately IDR 342 billion.
