JAKARTA – PT Tripar Multivision Plus Tbk (RAAM) has announced plans to carry out a capital increase with pre-emptive rights (PMHMETD), or a rights issue, this year to support its expansion activities.
Based on an official disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Monday (30/3), RAAM intends to issue up to 1,362,764,000 new shares, equivalent to 20% of its issued and paid-up capital.
“Shareholders who do not exercise their pre-emptive rights will face ownership dilution of up to 16.67%,” the company’s management said.
RAAM plans to use the proceeds from the rights issue to fund working capital for the production of films, web series and television dramas, along with related marketing expenses.
In addition, the company will allocate funds to inject capital into its subsidiary, PT Platinum Sinema, which operates the Platinum Cineplex network, in order to support the expansion of 50 new theatres across Indonesia.
On the other hand, the company has yet to disclose the exercise price for the rights issue. RAAM must first obtain shareholder approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) scheduled for 5 May 2026.
As of February 2026, Ram Jethmal Punjabi, widely known as Raam Punjabi, remains the controlling shareholder of RAAM with a 67.5% stake.
PT MNC Digital Entertainment Tbk (MSIN) holds 9.1% of RAAM shares, while Raam Punjabi’s affiliate, PT Tripar Multi Image, owns 0.7%. Public ownership, or free float, stands at 22.7%. (ZH)
