JAKARTA – Director General for National Export Development Fajarini Puntodewi inaugurated the first export shipment of yogurt produced by PT Cisarua Mountain Dairy Tbk (CMRY) to Vietnam in Bogor on Tuesday (5/6).

According to an official statement from Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade, the export shipment was valued at USD 65,000, or around IDR 1.13 billion.

Puntodewi praised Cimory for its ability to adapt to international consumer tastes, maintain product quality, and meet global standards, enabling it to penetrate the Vietnamese market.

“This step further strengthens the position and competitiveness of Indonesia’s yogurt products in the Vietnamese and Asian markets,” Puntodewi said in a press release on Wednesday (6/5).

CMRY Manufacturing Director Pamungkas Bayu Triprasetyo expressed appreciation for the Trade Ministry’s support in the inaugural yogurt shipment to Vietnam.

“This step reflects the company’s commitment to continue driving national export growth and strengthening the contribution of Indonesia’s food and beverage industry in the global market,” Bayu said.

Vietnam is one of Cimory’s main markets for yogurt products. The company continues to strengthen its brand presence through marketing collaborations and promotional activities in the local market.

In addition to Vietnam, Cimory has expanded exports to several other Asian markets, including the Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Timor-Leste, Brunei, and even Palestine.

“Through this expansion, Cimory is expected to continue increasing its contribution to national economic growth through high-quality dairy products,” Dinar Primasari said in a written statement published on Cimory’s official website.

For reference, Indonesia’s dairy product exports have continued to show a positive trend. In 2025, export value in the sector reached USD 71.68 million, with a growth trend of 2.35% during 2021–2025.

Significant growth was recorded in January–February 2026, when dairy product exports reached USD 14.81 million, up 63.43% compared with the same period in 2025.

Specifically for yogurt commodities, Indonesia’s global yogurt exports reached USD 1.45 million during January–February 2026, an increase of 50.30% from the same period in 2025.

As previously reported by IDNFinancials, Farell Sutantio, president director of Cimory, had attributed the company’s 2025 performance growth to export markets.

Although exports contributed only 1% of total 2025 sales, CMRY’s exports rose 50.6% to IDR 108.7 billion in 2025, while domestic market sales increased 18.6% to IDR 10.6 trillion.

In terms of stock performance, CMRY shares rose 0.41% to IDR 4,890 per share in Thursday’s trading (7/5) at 2:03 PM WIB. Over the past month, the stock has gained 11.39%, although it remains down 11.89% since the start of 2026. (DK/ZH)
