IHSG hits new ATH, foreigners buy DEWA, sell Prajogo Pangestu stocks

JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed up 0.90% at 8,710.695 at the end of today’s trading session, Monday (8/12), once again setting a new all-time high (ATH).
Amid the latest record high, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) reported total share turnover reaching IDR 27.30 trillion, comprising 56.26 billion shares traded across 2.89 million transactions.
PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) absorbed the highest trading value today, Monday (8/12), totalling IDR 1.21 trillion by the close of session II.
Mining contractor from the Bakrie Group, PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA), followed in second place with turnover of IDR 949.25 billion, ahead of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) at IDR 921.51 billion.
According to IDNFinancials.com data, the IDX also recorded a foreign net buy of IDR 438.09 billion in the regular market at today’s close – reversing from a foreign net sell of IDR 269.64 billion at the end of session I.
DEWA became the most-bought stock by foreign investors, booking a total net buy of IDR 159.85 billion, followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) with IDR 109.35 billion, and GOTO with IDR 86.89 billion.
Conversely, another state-owned bank, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), was sold off by foreign investors, recording a net sell of IDR 147.98 billion.
Two stocks linked to Prajogo Pangestu — PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) dan PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN) — were also heavily divested, with net sells of IDR 125.66 billion and IDR 69 billion respectively.
