JAKARTA &ndash; Digital Realty Bersama (DRB), a data centre operator owned by the Saratoga Group and US-based Digital Realty, is set to begin expanding its in-town data centre at the CGK 11 campus in South Jakarta from mid-2026.
DRB currently operates two data centre campuses in West Jakarta (CGK 10) and South Jakarta (CGK 11), with a combined capacity of around 6.4 MW.
Andha Yudha Permana, Director of Business and Commercial at DRB, said utilisation at CGK 10 has reached 95% of its total 1.4 MW capacity.
Meanwhile, CGK 11&mdash;which only began operations in late 2024&mdash;has already recorded utilisation of 60% of its 5 MW capacity.
&ldquo;Having reached 60%, we have decided to expand at the back&mdash;we already have the land. We will expand by approximately 27 MW,&rdquo; Andha said during a media gathering at the CGK 11 campus in South Jakarta on Wednesday (22/4).
The expansion will lift DRB&rsquo;s total in-town data centre capacity more than fivefold, from 6.4 MW to 33.4 MW.
Krishna Worotikan, Chief Financial Officer of DRB, expressed confidence that the expansion will be absorbed by strong market demand.
He added that the CGK 11 expansion will be carried out in phases, starting in the second half of 2026. &ldquo;We expect to begin within three months,&rdquo; he said.
Following the CGK 11 expansion, DRB also plans to increase capacity at the CGK 10 campus by building two new data centres, with construction expected to begin in 2027.
As an in-town data centre operator, Krishna noted that DRB offers low-latency characteristics, making it suitable for enterprise clients requiring fast connectivity, such as those in banking and financial services.
He also highlighted that demand is increasingly coming from Chinese hyperscalers such as Alibaba and Tencent, which are leasing capacity to support cloud services for e-commerce.
&ldquo;They are not building data centres here&mdash;they are leasing,&rdquo; Krishna told IDNFinancials.com on the same occasion.
He further pointed to a growing trend among regional and global players shifting their data hosting activities to Indonesia.
According to him, Indonesia has strong potential to close the data centre supply gap in Southeast Asia, particularly as Singapore considers limiting new data centre developments due to constraints in water and electricity supply.
&ldquo;With land, power, and water availability, Indonesia is a strategic location for regional and global players to host data. From here, they can serve Asia, ASEAN, and beyond,&rdquo; Krishna said. (ZH)

Digital Realty Bersama to expand in-town data centre by 27 MW in 2026

JAKARTA &ndash; Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) naik 0,72% atau 63,58 poin ke level 8.948,3 pada perdagangan Selasa (13/1) hari ini, setelah sempat menguji support sepanjang perdagangan.
Sejak pembukaan perdagangan, IHSG menyentuh level tertinggi di 8.956 dan terendah 8.841.
Total transaksi di seluruh pasar mencapai Rp33,54 triliun, yang melibatkan 62,92 miliar lembar saham.
Sejalan dengan kenaikan IHSG, indeks LQ45 yang menghimpun saham-saham paling likuid di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BE), ditutup menguat. Kenaikan indeks LQ45 mencapai 1,42%, lebih tinggi dari kinerja IHSG.
Saham PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) mencatat kenaikan harga 19,23% menjadi Rp775 per lembar. Kenaikan ini membuat saham Grup Saratoga ini jadi Top Gainers LQ45.
Berikutnya disusul oleh PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) yang mencatat kenaikan 9,01%, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) yang juga dimiliki Grup Saratoga naik 7,96%, PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) naik 6,51%, dan PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) naik 5,38%.
Sementara itu harga saham PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk (SRTG), meskipun tidak masuk dalam indeks LQ45, melesat 16% ke level Rp1.885 per lembar.
Mengenai fluktuasi IHSG, analis Phintraco Sekuritas menilai saat ini IHSG masih berada di fase konsolidasi pada area 8.840-9.000, selama indeks tidak bisa bertahan di atas level 9.000.
&ldquo;Koreksi IHSG masih wajar selama tidak ditutup di bawah level 8.730,&rdquo; jelas analis Phintraco, dalam catatan riset yang disampaikan usai penutupan perdagangan hari ini.
Sementara itu nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dolar Amerika Serikat (AS) kembali melemah 0,13% ke level Rp16.877 pada hingga pukul 4.44 WIB hari ini. Pelemahan ini terjadi seiring kinerja indeks dolar AS (DXY) yang menguat terhadap sejumlah mata uang, terutama di kawasan Asia. (KR)
