JAKARTA &ndash; PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) booked a net profit of IDR 1.7 trillion, up 13.6% year-on-year in the first half of 2025.
BBTN&rsquo;s President Director, Nixon LP Napitupulu, explained that net profit growth was driven by loan interest income, which surged 23.5% to IDR 18.50 trillion as of June 2025.
&ldquo;This growth far outpaced the increase in interest expenses, which only rose 2.3%,&rdquo; Nixon said in an official statement on Wednesday (27/8).
This condition generated net interest income of IDR 9.34 trillion and pushed the net interest margin (NIM) up by 139 basis points to 4.4% by the end of June 2025, compared with 3.0% previously.
Meanwhile, the cost-to-income ratio (CIR) improved significantly to 43.8% from 58.8%.
&ldquo;BTN has managed to maintain profitability thanks to consistent strategy and commitment in carrying out its intermediation function,&rdquo; Nixon added.
On the funding side, BBTN recorded third-party funds (DPK) growth of 11.2% to IDR 406.38 trillion in the first half of 2025, outpacing the banking industry&rsquo;s DPK growth of only 6.6%.
According to Nixon, the increase in DPK aligns with the company&rsquo;s strategy to strengthen its funding base, particularly low-cost funds (Current Account Saving Account/CASA) from retail and institutional segments.
Meanwhile, BBTN&rsquo;s loan and financing disbursement grew 6.8% to IDR 376.11 trillion as of June 2025.
Loan growth was mainly supported by the housing sector, which rose 6.2% to IDR 317.77 trillion, while non-housing loans grew at a higher pace of 10.5% to IDR 58.34 trillion.
In the housing sector, subsidised mortgages (KPR) rose 6.5% to IDR 182.17 trillion, while non-subsidised mortgages increased 8.8% to IDR 110.72 trillion. (DK/ZH)

Net profit of BBTN rises 13.6% in first half of 2025

JAKARTA - Unit Usaha Syariah (UUS)&nbsp;PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN)&nbsp;atau BTN Syariah membukukan laba bersih sebesar Rp401 miliar pada semester satu 2025.
Capaian ini tumbuh 8,3% secara tahunan atau dibandingkan semester satu 2024, yang mencapai Rp370 miliar. Direktur Utama BBTN, Nixon LP Napitupulu, menyampaikan bahwa kinerja positif tersebut diraih di tengah proses akhir pemisahan (spin-off) BTN Syariah menjadi Bank Umum Syariah (BUS). &ldquo;BTN Syariah telah memasuki era baru seiring proses&nbsp;spin-off&nbsp;yang ditandai dengan perubahan nama menjadi Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN) melalui penggabungan dengan Bank Victoria Syariah sebagai perusahaan cangkang,&rdquo; ujar Nixon dalam keterangannya, Rabu (27/8). Hingga akhir Juni 2025, aset BTN Syariah tumbuh 18,0% menjadi Rp65,56 triliun, naik dari Rp55,54 triliun pada periode sama tahun lalu. Pertumbuhan ini terutama ditopang ekspansi pembiayaan yang mencapai Rp48,46 triliun, meningkat 17,0% yoy dari Rp41,41 triliun di semester I 2024. Tingkat kepercayaan masyarakat juga terus menguat. Dana Pihak Ketiga (DPK) yang dihimpun oleh BTN Syariah mencapai Rp55,23 triliun per Juni 2025, naik 19,8% dari Rp46,09 triliun pada tahun sebelumnya. Sejalan dengan kinerja positif BTN Syariah, laba bersih BBTN juga tumbuh 13,6% secara tahunan menjadi Rp1,7 triliun pada semester I 2025, seperti dilaporkan IDNFinancials.com sebelumnya.
